JK Agro Association is non profitable & voluntary organization working in the agricultural sector with core intention to improve the quality of life in India’s rural area through the development of Agriculture & Animal Husbandry sector with the help of Cattle Breed Improvement Programme & providing veterinary services. JK-AA is a non-political, secular and professionally managed organisation. The JK Agro offering the services through committed trained unemployed rural volunteers & promotes sustainable lifetime self employment to unemployed youth of rural India through agricultural sector.
JK-AA has developed the village cluster development approach to reach the animal owner farmer. This facilitates identifying the problems and needs of families of animal owner farmer and introduction appropriate technologies and services to solve them. The participating families are able to make best use of the available animal resources and to generate additional income to ensure their food security.
Building a self-reliant para veterinarian/AIT’s team in rural society of India assured of Animal Husbandry, veterinary & farming services includes breeding, feeding, good Animal health, reduce the milk production cost, First aid & infertility treatment, low calf mortality, Good management practices, fodder development, clean milk production & better crop production.
JK-AA Mission is to create opportunities of gainful lifetime self-employment for the rural youth, especially for trained para veterinarians/AIT’s ensuring their sustainable livelihood & improved quality of life. This is being achieved through effective use of local Animal Breeds, extension of appropriate technologies of cross breeding or upgrading of ND Animals. To provide Animal Husbandry & Veterinary services at the doorstep of farmers through committed trained unemployed rural AIT’s/Para veterinarians at the cheapest cost & create the sustainable employment for them.
To help alleviating poverty with increased milk production enables participating farmers to effectively supplement their income by sale of surplus milk as well as trying to minimize Infant Mortality and Malnutrition through surplus milk generated by high milk yielding cows and buffaloes especially caused by malnutrition in the age group of less than 12 months and malnutrition among children.
The main objective of the organization is to creating doorstep support system for the farmer regarding agricultural as well as animal husbandry sector through trained AIT’s / Para veterinarians. These Para veterinarians run the programme for the purpose of upgrade the local indigenous low milk-yielding cows & buffalo with the use of frozen semen from highly pedigreed indigenous as well as exotic bulls so that we preserve our Indian Breeds & support to increase our nation milk production.
Our main intention to develop a habit for every farmer, to keep at least two milking animals at their doorstep for every time so we will lot of control the suicide attempts of farmers during drought condition because they having little bit currency for completion of their daily needs & food security for family.
All the Government Animal Husbandry Department and Non Government organization are trying to increase the milk production of India through cattle breed improvement programme (CBIP). For that, Artificial Insemination (AI) is the better choice instead of Natural Service. Therefore, all the agencies are to upgrade the local indigenous low milk-yielding cows and buffaloes by breeding them through Artificial Insemination (A.I) with the use of high pedigree frozen semen of indigenous / exotic breeds. It resulting upgraded progeny with an improved genetic makeup will have a far better milk yielding capacity.
The Animal Husbandry Department as well as many Non Government Organization trained rural unemployed youth as an Artificial Insemination technician under the various schemes & provided AI kit for implementing the Cross Breed Improvement Programme at village level. But no one responsible to assure the supply of Liquid Nitrogen & Frozen Semen Doses with in stipulated time at their doorstep. They are totally dependent over unreliable supply source & facing the problem to get LN2 & better quality Semen within time. Many organization or private parties are supplying these materials on cost basis but either it over charge for LN2 or distribute poor quality semen or ignore the interval of LN2. Therefore, all the private AIT’s are directly or indirectly exploited by them because no provision of penalty over the supplying authorities. In fact, no any Government or social organizations is having proper planning about AIT's lifetime livelihood or sustainable employment. All the AIT’s may contribute their better Animal Husbandry & Breeding services in rural areas if they can assure to get Liquid Nitrogen, Frozen Semen Doses, other required material with in stipulated time at their doorstep.
Therefore, we have decided to establish AIT’s non profitable association where they can get the quality semen, LN2 & other necessary material within regular interval on actual cost basis for lifetime at their doorstep so that they can live tension free life & focus only on AI instead of arbitrarily animal treatment. Besides, we are trying continuously to increase AIT’s income sources through other available resources & given security to their families too.
